Paracorynactis hoplites (Haddon & Shackleton, 1893)

These corallimorphs feed on echinoderms such as starfish and sea urchins. We saw them at a number of reef sites in the Anilao area.

This one apparently recently devoured a spiny sea urchin. Spines are still protruding from the anemone's mouth.

Possibly a juvenile, this individual was identified on iNaturalist as this species.
